Summary: We spent six nights on Matamanoa Island at the end of October and it was fantastic! From the staff who was always smiling, singing and happy to help you …to the food which was delicious and varied, and always hot …to the gorgeous accommodations of our oceanfront bure …to the pool and beach - It was fantastic. The only reason we don’t give it five stars is the sea birds that nest on the rocks by the oceanfront rooms starting at the end of October. They scream and howl all night, but that’s nothing that the resort can control and nothing that some earplugs can’t handle. This island really is a tiny bit of paradise in Fiji. The adults only policy means that it’s peaceful and there’s no gimmicky events going on at the pool during the day so you can really just sit and relax and have a drink or two. We highly recommend that anybody go!
