Positive: This house is a true wonder and a rare gem by the lake. It is warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. You can immediately feel that it was not built for rental, but as a real home for a large family - with heart, care, and attention. Thanks to this house and the atmosphere created by the hosts, we truly fell in love with Lapland. Everything you need for a perfect stay is here: complete silence, a beautiful lake, a sauna, several barbecue areas including a dedicated winter barbecue zone, sledges, a convenient drying room for clothes, and many small details that make the stay exceptionally comfortable. Our heartfelt thanks go to the hosts, Ilkka and Sanikka. They stayed in close contact with us, warned us in advance about the weather, advised us on the best times to watch the northern lights, and gave excellent recommendations on places to visit. This level of care is truly rare. Above the lake, you can witness the most unforgettable and breathtaking northern lights - no light pollution, and the view opens directly from the window of the house. An experience we will never forget. Ranua Arctic Zoo is nearby and absolutely worth visiting. We honestly do not recommend staying in Rovaniemi: apart from the commercial Santa Claus Village (which is worth seeing once), there is not much truly authentic there. Here, however, everything is close, peaceful, and genuinely connected to nature. This is a place you want to return to in every season - winter, summer, autumn, and spring. We will definitely come back many times. Huge thanks again to Ilkka and Sanikka for everything!

Negative: The only thing we didn’t like about this place is that we stayed for just one week and wished it had been at least two.
