Positive: Everything. This is on the top of the list of places I need to come back to. The surroundings and the tranquility are bliss for all senses. The small cabin has all the basics. The beds were very comfy - haven’t slept so well for a long time. Having to walk a couple of steps outside to get to the bathroom and to get water added to the nostalgia - this was what cabins were like in my childhood. However, here you get a modern toilet and a shower in a nice warm bathroom. We did not have that luxury. The small museum was very interesting. The host was nice and inviting and he has a lot of knowledge of the past and present in the area. There are possibilities of renting kayaks- and canoes not far from the property. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night this time. But we most certainly will be back to explore the lake and the surroundings.

Summary: Amazing place with lots of history and close to nature, still having all the basic amenities.
