Positive: The Adult pool area was a nice bonus as the main pool was full of kids. Happy hour was 3-6pm when drinks were a good price. Most of the food was good, but expensive. Monkeys visit the pool area most afternoons which is great fun. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Negative: Our room was in the basement of block 2. Dark dingy and tatty! They don’t show these horrible rooms in the pictures! $350 a night for a 2 star motel room is a massive rip off! Everything is on a massive slope, with steps all over so don’t go if you are not fit or have poor eyesight. They do put an excellent golf cart service on though if you need it. The restaurant badly needs refurbishing as it is very shabby and smells of stale cooking. The menu prices are ridiculous; completely out of place in this class of hotel. Get a $4 Uber to the town and eat there! Manuel Antonio is the most expensive town in CR though, so watch out! It’s not ‘By’ the beach. There is a long winding steep track with 120 wonky steps to traverse to get to the beach. It’s nice when you get there, with safe, calm, warm sea to swim in, but can get very crowded as it’s a popular public beach (as are all beaches in Costa Rica)

Summary: Not worth the high prices. Avoid ground floor rooms in blocks 1and 2
