Nepean Bay House | Secluded Coastal Retreat | 107 Acres + 7km Beach

3 Bedroom House in Nepean Bay

Wake to wallabies at the tree line, then walk from the house through native bush to 7 km of secluded sandy beach — just 200 metres from your door.
Welcome to Clearwater Haven.
This peaceful, fully self-contained holiday house is made for slowing down. There is space to explore, wildlife to watch, a stretch of Nepean Bay to discover, and a large deck where you can simply sit back and enjoy it.
Clearwater Haven provides 107 acres of private Kangaroo Island to explore, then follow the bush track 200 metres to 7km of quiet coastline to wander at your own pace. Native birds are plentiful in the morning, kangaroos and wallabies often graze nearby, while echidnas may make an appearance. At the end of the day, return from exploring the island to fire up the BBQ.
**The house**
Built in 2011, Clearwater Haven is a light-filled, open-plan home comfortably sleeping up to 6 adults and 2 infants across three bedrooms, including 2 queen beds, 2 single beds and 2 cots.
The layout works particularly well for a family, a group of friends or couples.
Luxury Sheridan linen, bath towels and beach towels are provided. All bedrooms have blackout blinds and curtains for peaceful country sleeps. Cot linen is available on request.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a full oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, crockery and cooking essentials. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk are provided.
Short or long stays are easy with a washing machine, laundry and dishwashing detergents, hand and body soap and other everyday essentials.
The split bathroom has a shower, full-sized bath, toilet and vanity in separate spaces, which is particularly practical for families and groups.
**Your beach is just 200 metres away**
Follow the track through native vegetation and, just 200 metres from the front door, you'll reach a beautiful sandy beach on Nepean Bay.
It's a wonderful place for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, beachcombing and long walks along the sand.
The calm waters are suitable for swimming year-round. At low tide, shallow pools form along parts of the beach--perfect for younger children.
Bring a fishing rod and try your luck from the beach, or bring a small boat. A Council-maintained boat launch is approximately 1km from the property.
**Made for families**
Arrive with the kids — not the kitchen sink. Two cots, highchair, baby baths, children's dishes, nightlight, books, toys, beach towels, blackout blinds and a washing machine are already here.
There's plenty of space for children to explore, from the 107-acre property and native bushland to the beach just 200 metres from the house.
**Wildlife on your doorstep**
For wildlife lovers, photographers and anyone who enjoys being outdoors, the 107-acre property includes 30 acres of native bushland, with mature gum trees, native grass trees, as well as open countryside.
Kangaroos and wallabies are frequent visitors. Echidnas and abundant native birdlife can also be seen. In winter and spring, you may have the opportunity to see sheep graze the paddocks.
**Slow down on the deck**
Not every day needs an itinerary.
The large entertainment deck is a natural gathering place for morning coffee, long lunches, and sunset drinks. Fire up the barbecue for dinner or cook the day's catch while enjoying the surrounding bush and wildlife.
After sunset, head inside where you can connect your favourite tunes to the Bluetooth stereo or cast your own movies to the smart TV. You'll also find books, board games and movies, as well as a comfortable writing desk with a fully adjustable chair.
For a true Island experience, pick up a bottle from one of Kangaroo Island's local wineries and settle in for the evening.
**Explore Kangaroo Island — or don't**
Clearwater Haven makes a peaceful base for exploring Kangaroo Island's natural attractions, including the Remarkable Rocks and Seal Bay.
Approximate driving times:

Clearwater Haven is an eco-friendly, off-grid home powered by ample solar power with rainwater supply. It's cosy and comfortable in cooler weather, with heating and faux fur blankets.
Mobile network coverage is available, although Vodafone coverage on Kangaroo Island is limited.

Summary: Could have short metal tongs for bbq instead of p,attic ends which could melt. It would be extremely helpful if a rail was outside the main front steps for elderly or disabled people.
