Positive: Perfect location in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Hout Bay has everything; nice shops, supermarkets, coffee bars, restaurant and a nice beach. The house is spacious and comfortable. Private garden with swimming pool is perfect. Kitchen has everything you need. And very convenient to have a washing machine. In short: we had a wonderful 2 weeks with our family (2 adults, child of 5 years old).

Negative: The curtains in the bedrooms are not very dark; so you will notice when the sun is up. Across the street is a primary school; you hear the children start their day at the playground between 07.30u - 08.30u. We also had some nights with heavy winds; that makes a lot of sound. The bedrooms have no airconditioning; so when it is a sunny day the rooms are heating up quickly (despite closing the curtains) and the warmth is not easily gone before you go to bed (despite the availability of a fan in every bedroom).
