Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We booked a two bedroom cottage which was lovely. The size of the bedrooms & the living room was great. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was below average. We were two couples and we had a fantastic time because having a cottage gave us a common space to hang out and we had excellent privacy.

Negative: For a 4 start hotel, there is a lot of scope for improvement. 1. The breakfast could have been better-While they did have a variety, they could have done much better with the flavor. The bread served was awful. It tasted stale, they could have offered more coffee options complimentary and could have done a much better job refilling the dishes. Every time we went there were scraps of leftover to pick from when there was still 45mins to an hour left on the breakfast timing. 2. The Bed & Bath Linens were awful-it was dirty and smelly, and not what I would have expected at a 4 star hotel. 3. I didn't understand the point of having a pantry in the cottage if they had nothing at all. There were no glasses, cutlery, plates nothing which means we had to call and ask for things and nobody understood english so getting any sort of delivery, room service house keeping in the hotel was a mission. 4. The Cottage Cleaning was terrible! i literally had to dettol the entire cottage and the bathrooms to make it useable. That's not acceptable to me. Even the 2nd day all our used cutlery and glasses were just rinsed and kept, it wasn't washed with dish detergent. I had carried some with me and rewashed all our cutlery and glasses for us to reuse again for the 2nd day. There's definitely a lot of improving to do.
