Summary: This feels like a harsh rating, after seeing so many high ratings, but I was pretty disappointed with my stay here. I visited many other Havelis in Jodhpur, to eat at their rooftop restaurants, and all of them were cleaner, had more staff working, and had other people staying there. This place was eerily dead, and the restaurant is closed. This property is pretty cool, and the view from the roof is incredible, but it’s kind of crumbling apart. The staff does not really speak English (which is ultimately a ME issue for not being able to speak Hindi, but I thought I’d mention it). I had high expectations for this place because it had such high ratings everywhere I looked, and after staying there I honestly don’t understand how the ratings were so high. Also, if you’re travelling to Jodhpur for the first time, be cautious of the street dogs. I’ve never encountered more aggressive street dogs in my life (including the one that hangs out around the main gate in front of this place).
