Summary: I was on the 2nd floor, so I'm not sure about the 1st floor, but it was really noisy. I stayed for about 2 weeks and almost every night I could hear people walking, talking, and living their life next door. The floor will move when they move too quickly. There are signs that tell guests to keep it down and they provide shoes to help with sound and to keep the teak wood healthy. I believe the hotel is very aware of the issue, however, without guests really understanding the rooms are boutique and made of special woods that can carry sound and vibrate, the hotel will continue to receive a 4 star rating in this category. It really deserves 5 stars for absolutely everything else. I'll miss my time at Baan U Sabai and the friendly cute staff!!!! Maybe I'll book a room downstairs and see if it's different!
