Renovated blending its vintage origins with modern flair, it’s a place to be a base while you enjoy exploring. The beds are super comfy with pillowtop mattresses and quality linens with a leather armchair that converts to a sofa bed for one. The soft grey 3-seater couch is perfect for relaxing, chatting, watching TV or reading a book, and the dining table is big enough for an evening meal for 4, a card game or to answer a quick email. There are two desks set up – one in the two larger bedrooms ensuring you can work and or have screen time in the privacy of each bedroom. The subway tiled kitchen is fully equipped for making meals with its medium size fridge, microwave, electric stove, dishwasher and combo washer/dryer. We provide all the necessities to cook your own meals. The new bathroom is fresh, clean and compact with a shower, toilet and hand basin. Our stay has hardwood floors throughout, so it’s a good place to stay if you have allergies, with a panel heater in the living room to create radiant heat, plus a new reverse cycle air conditioner if you want a sudden burst of heat or cool. It’s easy for access, as there is a digital keylock entrance, which means you won’t need to worry about looking after keys. There is only one small step to get into the property, so it’s ideal for those needing single level living. Ideal for small families visiting Melbourne or family nearby, workers needing a temporary place close to work, or friends wanting to bunk together when attending an event in the city. One of 12 units on site, it’s a neat, tidy getaway in Melbourne’s west.
Guests can use the entire unit and allocated undercover parking space. Please ensure you respect neighbouring residents and their quiet enjoyment.
Our place has no garden area or outdoor space to use for fresh air, however there are nearby parks including King Edward Avenue Reserve opposite, Barclay Park and Selwyn Park within the street. Melbourne’s weather can be 4 seasons in one day, so you will need to pack accordingly. We can have strong winds with an Antarctic blast or northerly dust, we can have humid hot days or sweltering dry heat, we can have frosty mornings that can lead into glorious sunny calm days.
House must be left as received (e.g. if you moved furniture, please put them back). Dishes should be washed (or start the dishwasher before you leave). Please clean up after your dog. Please do not wash the linens and towels before you leave as they will be commercially washed.
Please keep the noise down. Please refrain from causing disturbances to the neighbours. Strictly no parties allowed. Infringement on this rule may result in eviction without refund.
We will ask for photo ID of the person making the booking. For 3rd party bookings, we will need the photo ID of the primary guest staying at the property.
Smoking inside the property is strictly prohibited. $200 will be charged if smoking is detected. Illegal substance (including marijuana) cannot be consumed at all, or you will be asked to leave with no refund. Medicinal use of substance can be smoked/consumed outdoor only.
Please be thoughtful and turn off heating & cooling when you are not in the property.
Please don’t disconnect the Internet or Gateway at any time.
If any damage occurs during your stay, or if any appliance does not function, please tell us as soon as possible.
If the Fire and/or Emergency Services are called out due to a guest’s fault (including for false fire alarm call outs), fees will be passed on to you.
Pet fees are applicable and pets should be included when you book. Please don’t leave pets on the balcony as they may bark or meow, and balconies may not be safe for pets left alone.
If you are locked out (e.g. left the key inside the unit, lost the remote), our physical attendance will be charged at $50. Any locksmith or any additional expenses required will be on-charged to you. Loss of key/fob/remote will be charged at cost plus administration fee of $20/item lost.
Check-out time is 10am unless otherwise agreed. If the cleaner cannot clean on time, a delayed entry fee ($10 for every 10 minutes delay) will apply. If you require late check-out, please contact us 24 hours before check-out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. If you request a very late check-out, another night of booking may be required as we won’t be able to accommodate last minute booking request on the same night.
If you leave any items behind, please advise us immediately. We can post them back to you (except for perishables, flammables, illegal items or items that are impractical to post). We will charge postage cost plus $50 to compensate for our time. We can also store them for $20/item for up to 3 days for you or a friend to retrieve them. We accept no responsibility if any items left behind were missing or thrown out by our cleaners.
Where a porta cot (or any baby/kid item) is provided, this is used at the guest’s own risk. The owner and hosts do not accept any liability should anything occur during its use.
Please ask for our consent if you operate a business from the premises where you will expect visiting customers. This includes consultation, training, buying/selling or any personal services. We are happy to consent depending on risks and the impact on the neighbours.
Our cleaners do their best to provide quality cleaning. Though no one is perfect, and if there is any cleaning issues, please notify us within 4 hours of check-in; and allow our cleaners to rectify those issues in a timely manner.
